Just back from an epic few days on the Ball Pass Summit Trek in Aoraki / Mount Cook National Park — and wow, what a journey! 🌧️🥾
The hike in was a proper challenge: rough conditions and relentless terrain weaving up towards Caroline Hut. By the time we arrived, tired and sore, that warm, cosy haven with the fire crackling and a hot brew waiting felt like pure magic 🔥☕ — the perfect place to dry out and recharge after a hard slog. 
We woke to fresh snow, with more flakes still falling, so we spent some time sharpening alpine skills close to the hut — crampons, ice axe, and some abseiling — before the clouds finally lifted. And when they did… holy smokes. Aoraki and the Southern Alps revealed themselves in all their glory 🏔️❄️. Totally worth every step. 
Huge thanks to the mountains, the crew, and the unforgettable nights at Caroline Hut. Already dreaming of the next one. ✨
