Glenmore Station is a historic high-country sheep station nestled on the shores of Lake Tekapo. As land-owners and custodians of the expansive Cass Valley, Glenmore provides exclusive access to some of the South Island’s most breathtaking backcountry terrain. Alpine Recreation is privileged to operate guided alpine treks, ski touring, snowshoeing, and mountaineering trips across this spectacular landscape.

In partnership with Glenmore Station, we utilize their network of well-equipped private huts, including Lady Emily, perched high above the Cass Valley; Falcon’s Nest, a warm and cosy base by Tin Hut Stream; and O’Leary’s Hut at the head of Waterfall Stream. These huts provide comfort and safety deep in the mountains and are integral to the unique wilderness experiences we offer in this region.
