The Cass delivered this week. 🤙🏔️⛷️

An early morning 4WD up the valley, a heli flight into the heart of the range, and a fresh top-up of powder to kick things off. By the end of the week, we were carving spring corn in the sunshine.

There was a wee dram (or two) at the Bad Decision “Whiskey Hut” 🥃, plenty of remote ski touring, a lap of the “Scorpion”, and a final hike out to Memorial Hut for a picnic lunch in the sun before the 4WD back down the valley.

Kiwi ski touring at its finest — no ski lifts, no crowds, just real backcountry wilderness, with a touch of comfort in Glenmore Station’s heated private huts.

That combination of wild, remote skiing and a warm hut to come home to is what makes the Cass Valley such a unique experience.
